When the architects and interior designers for the Frank Lloyd Wright inspired Fluno Center at the University of Wisconsin in Madison approached Brass Light Gallery about large scale architectural lighting for the lobby, the fixture that was decided upon was our handcrafted Mission Lantern 30 inch Wide Multi-Stem Pendant Inverted light. Several of the enormous made in Milwaukee light fixtures are dramatically suspended from 4 rods and provide ambient upward lighting and decorative focus in the soaring interior. The inverted pyramid ceiling fixtures are constructed with translucent made in America Gold White Iridescent art glass panels and embellished with our MIAD overlay and conclude in square, peaked finials. Prairie Style influence is apparent in the large scale commercial lights. The inverted pendant light was adapted for compact fluorescent lamping. You don‘t have to have a giant room and tall ceiling height to enjoy an Inverted Mission Pendant Lantern in your home. Brass Light Gallery offers a variety of scales and styles from 12 inches wide to 30 inches wide. Over the years, our smaller Mission Pendants have been installed in kitchens, dining rooms, breakfast nooks, and vestibules.
