The Basilica of St. Josaphat located in Lincoln Village on Milwaukee‘s south side has a rich history. Constructed by the Polish community with building materials from a deconstructed Chicago Post Office, St. Josaphat Church was named the third basilica of the United States in 1929. Based on the design of St. Peter‘s in Rome, St. Josaphat Basilica continues to inspire and play an important role in the community. In 2000, the St. Josaphat Foundation commissioned Brass Light Gallery for outdoor lighting that complements the Renaissance architecture of the basilica. The entrance to the church is lit by several of our made in Milwaukee London Lantern 10 inch Wide Scrolled Drop Exterior Wall Lights. Our high quality outdoor lantern is shown in genuine Verdigris Patina which ages beautifully and naturally. A three-light candelabra cluster shines warmly through traditional Clear Seeded art glass panels. The traditional style outdoor wall sconce features high caliber details such as a cast solid brass mounting plate and hand bent scroll brackets. Brass Light Gallery is proud to produce high caliber lighting that is architecturally appropriate for noteworthy historic buildings.
