Outdoor Lights for an East Coast Colonial
The impeccably restored Federal Style home of east coast Colonial origin shown retains the typical architectural character of its time. Located in the historic country of Fairfield, Connecticut on Long Island Sound, the private residence is clad in crisp clapboard. The straightforward front entrance has a six panel wood door that is framed by rectangular pilasters and a modest transom with rectangular panes. Six over six paned double-hung sashed windows are placed symmetrically and singly and crowned by entablatures with simple friezes.
Remaining true to the austere style of architecture was a must for our customers and they chose our high quality handmade London Lantern Scrolled Arm Exterior Wall Lights for the home and garage. A coordinating post mounted lantern on a painted Walpole post welcomes visitors to the elegantly landscaped front yard. All the outdoor lights are metal finished in rich Architectural Bronze and have sparkling Waterfall art glass panels. Each made in Milwaukee London Lantern has a multi-socket candle cluster and refined Onion Finial for further understated historic architectural detail. This home is a fine example of seamlessly blending time-honored architecture with historically inspired modern materials appropriate to the Colonial period.
