New Construction Shingle Style Home
The recently constructed Shingle Style home featured in this portfolio was carefully designed and constructed with traditional architectural methods and materials. Shingle Style first became popular in the 1880's at fashionable east coast resorts and seaside towns. For the next thirty years, architects designed quaint cottages and grand summer homes in the Shingle Style for vacationing city dwellers. Many of these original Shingle Style homes still exist and continue to inspire today. The builder of the featured newly constructed Shingle Style home used classic materials such as cedar wall cladding, stone with no courses, arched doorways, and multi-pane double hung windows. Brass Light Gallery is proud to furnish high quality, handcrafted Stonehaven Lanterns and Market Lights for the exterior and grounds of the grand home built with exuberant traditional style.
