Modern Industrial Craftsman Exterior Lighting
The residents of this remarkable, recently built home gracefully bridged the gap between American Craftsman and Modern architecture. The architect chose strong design elements from each school and united them with traditional and high quality construction techniques. The exterior materials of this rural home blend with its bucolic surroundings: wood siding painted in muted colors, stained wood columns and beams, and subtly colored natural cut stone.
For lighting, a combination of our new, made to order Stonehaven Lanterns and reclaimed industrial Enamel Pendants reflect the Craftsman and Modern elements of the exterior design. A hanging lantern is mounted to a custom post and pier that marks the front walkway. Wall mounted lanterns flank the handsome oak door of the front entrance and hanging lanterns mounted to the ceiling of a wide eave light the side walkway. Our reclaimed industrial Enamel Pendants were rewired and restored to light the detached garage. Successfully incorporating two very different styles of outdoor lighting adds another interesting element to this unique home.
