Lighting for a 1920's Italianate Style Home
The owners of the 1920's Italianate Style home featured in this portfolio photo shoot chose an assortment of traditional style light fixtures to illuminate their freshly restored home. Starting with the exterior of the garage, where the electrical boxes were installed too high, the problem is solved and the tone is set with our classic London Lantern 8 inch Wide Scrolled Drop Exterior Wall Lights. The handsome library and den are softly lit with a made-to-order hand carved alabaster Palladian Pendant while the elegant dining room has a beautifully restored, ornate vintage chandelier from our collection of antique lighting. The wine cellar and breakfast nook have tasteful, rustic fixtures from our Durham and Oak Park families of light fixtures. The bedrooms are amply lit with a combination of four light ceiling fixtures and wall sconces. This home is a fine example of using more than one style of period appropriate lighting to achieve beauty, variety and balance.
