Driveway Lighting for Period Georgian Revival Home
The owners of the 1920's Georgian Revival home pictured contacted us about pier mounted lighting for the entrance to their circular driveway. The home is located in an historic neighborhood on a busy street overlooking Lake Michigan. The goal was to install elegant and durable lighting at the driveway entrance appropriate to the style and period of the home that would serve as a welcoming landmark to visitors. Our handmade, high quality 13 inch wide French Country Lanterns in Black metal finish with Clear Seeded art glass panels are the perfect solution for the location. Our chief lighting designer made a site visit to the home with a variety of lantern frame sizes to determine the correct scale of lantern in relation to the square columns. Beautiful cast details on the outdoor lanterns add warmth and interest. They include large sunburst rosettes along the roofline, wheat motif castings along the base, and a highly detailed acorn finial on top.
